Hans Ladner
Hans Ladner (born August 23, 1930 in Zams ; † August 12, 2001 in Munich ) was an Austrian sculptor living in Munich .
Life
Hans Ladner studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the 1950s . In 1968 he temporarily took over the management of a sculpture class and in 1975 was appointed full professor of sculpture. From 1982 to 1985 under Rudolf Seitz and from 1988 to 1991 under Wieland Schmied he was also Vice President of the Academy. In 1995 he retired and at the same time made an honorary member of the academy. Shortly afterwards, Ladner fell seriously ill and died in 2001. He was buried in the cemetery at the Winthirkirche in Munich, Neuhausen.
Ladner mainly made sculptures, fountains, portrait busts, torsos and sacred sculptures.
He was married to the granddaughter of the Munich painter Ernst Liebermann .
