Toni Weisskopf

Toni Weisskopf (* 12. December 1965 in Waltham , Massachusetts ) is an American science fiction - writer and - editor .

Weisskopf is a graduate of Oberlin College , which she graduated in 1987. She was immediately hired by Baen Books as senior editor and remained in that position until founder Jim Baen's death in 2006, when she was co-editor.

She published some of her anthologies under the name TKF Weisskopf. In 1994 she received the Phoenix Award and the Rubble Award. The Rebel Award followed in 2000 in recognition of her lifelong commitment to science fiction fandom. In 2017 she won the Kate Wilhelm Solstice Award at the SFWA Awards .

In 2010 Weisskopf was guest of honor at the North American Science Fiction Convention .

She and Jim Baen have a daughter, Katherine. She was later married to Hank Reinhardt until his death on October 30, 2007 .
