Tonino Pulci (actually Antonio Pulci ; born June 13, 1947 in Scalea ; † August 3, 2012 ) was an Italian actor , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Pulci began his career at the theater in 1970 when he broke off his geology studies and founded the "Teatro La Comunità" with Giancarlo Sepe . After a few years in which he eagerly experimented with Roman avant-garde pieces a. a. performed under directors such as Luca Ronconi , Luigi Squarzina and Mario Missiroli , he himself staged a large number of modern classics from 1980 ( Jean Cocteau , Georges Feydeau , Christopher Durang , Neil Simon , Roberto Cavosi ) and was thus regularly successful with critics and audiences.

Pulci rarely appeared in the film; He was hired as an actor several times. On two occasions he directed Signore e signori in 1984 and Donne in bianco fourteen years later based on his own play.

Pulci also taught at the Università della Tuscia , worked as a dubbing and radio game director (he was responsible for the first radio soap in 1983) and occasionally did commissioned work for television.
