Tony Klatka

Tony Klatka (born March 6, 1946 ) is an American jazz musician ( trumpet , flugelhorn , arrangement ).

Live and act

Klatka began his career in the late 1960s; 1970-76 he worked as a musician and arranger with Woody Herman and His Orchestra , with whom he also made his first recordings ( Light My Fire ) and in 1970 appeared at the Monterey Jazz Festival . In the following years he played with Blood, Sweat & Tears , heard on the albums Mirror Image (1974) and New City (1975), furthermore in the Dan Terry Big Band, the International Dues Band, in the Neophonic Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Joel Kaye . In later years he played with Chris Daniels & The Kings and the big band Denver Brass; he worked as an arranger for the Temple University Big Band. In the field of jazz he was involved in 18 recording sessions between 1970 and 1998.
