Torben Hede Pedersen
Torben Hede Pedersen (born July 13, 1937 , † April 4, 2000 ) was a Danish civil servant and the first imperial ombudsman in Greenland . His term of office lasts from May 1, 1979 to July 13, 1992. He was succeeded by Steen Spore .
Most of his life, Pedersen worked in areas related to Greenland. Before that, he studied law and worked for the police in Nakskov for three years before moving to the Danish Ministry for Greenland. In his career he has campaigned for more Greenlandic autonomy. For this he received the Nersornaat , the Greenlandic Medal of Merit.
