Torbjörn Lindström

Torbjörn Lindström is a former Swedish football player . The offensive player won the Swedish National Cup with Landskrona BoIS in the summer of 1972 .

Career

Lindström played from 1971 for Landskrona BoIS in the Allsvenskan . He could not establish himself as a regular player in the team, so he was only used irregularly. Nevertheless, he made a name for himself in the history books of the club when the cup success in 1972. After a 0-0 draw against IFK Norrköping in the first encounter, a replay had to be scheduled. After the opponent had already taken the lead with a 2-0 half-time lead, Claes Cronqvist scored the next goal. Substitute Lindström first scored to equalize 2-2, in extra time he led the club with his winning goal to 3-2 victory and thus to the first national title win in the club's history.

After the team had only succeeded in the middle of the table for a long time, Lindström qualified fourth in the 1976 season for the 1977/78 UEFA Cup .
