The Torom ( Russian Тором ) is a 176 km long river in the Khabarovsk region in the Far East of Russia . The catchment area of the Torom covers 4430 km². The river runs Rajon Tuguro-Tschumikanski .
River course
The Torom has its origin in the Jam-Alin . It rises at an altitude of about 1400 m . The Torom initially flows 20 km to the east and leaves the mountains. It then turns north-northeast and flows along the eastern flank of the mountain range to the sea. Larger tributaries are the Tewatyn and Kuni , both from the right. The Torom finally flows into the Uda Bay in the west of the Sea of Okhotsk . The estuary is 36 km east-southeast of the mouth of the Uda . The village of the same name is located 6 km above the mouth of the Torom on the right bank of the river . 3 km further east is the estuary of the Al .
