The Breda Tower ( Italian: Torre Breda ) is a skyscraper on the Piazza della Repubblica in Milan , near the Central Station .

At 117 meters it is the fifth tallest skyscraper in Milan, built in 1954 based on a design by Luigi Mattioni . Until the completion of the Pirelli skyscraper in 1960, it was the tallest building in Italy. The eight lower floors contain offices, the upper floors are apartments. The apartments were connected to the building's post office by pneumatic tube . Groundwater was already used for air conditioning when it was built . In 2009 the building was renovated.

In the film "Father, we marry full" (Ragazze d'oggi) by Luigi Zampa from 1955, the Breda Tower can be seen in an unfinished state.
