Toshiki Okada

Toshiki Okada ( Japanese 岡田 利 規 , Okada Toshiki ; born July 13, 1973 in Yokohama , Japan ) is a Japanese writer , playwright and director .

Life

Okada founded the theater group Chelfitsch in 1997 , for which he has since written many award-winning plays. Two of his pieces were published in a book in 2007, which has also been available in German since 2012. With his group Chelfitsch he has also been active internationally, for example in Europe at the Lower Saxony Festival Theaterformen , as well as in Asia and the USA . His piece The Vacuum Cleaner was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2020 .
