Toshirō Suga ( Japaneseト シ ロ ー ・ ス ガ; born August 22, 1950 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese Aikidō teacher, actor and painter .

biography

On February 16, 1968 he began to learn Aikidō with Ueshiba Morihei in the Aikikai Hombu Dōjō in Tokyo . Since then he has trained under Kisshōmaru Ueshiba , Tōhei Kōichi , Kisaburo Osawa , Seigo Yamaguchi , Sadateru Arikawa , Morihiro Saitō , Akira Tōhei and Mitsugi Saotome . He is 7th Dan and 6th Dan of Aikikai Tokyo.

In 1971 he came to Paris to study at the art school. Here he finally met Nobuyoshi Tamura and has worked closely with him ever since.

In 1979 he played the role of Chang in the James Bond film Moonraker .

From 1985 to 1989 he lived in Canada and trained members of the Canadian army in aikidō and in the handling of the bayonet .

Suga's painting has been shown in several exhibitions in Paris and Tokyo, and he is a lifetime member of the group "Le Salon".

He leads Aikidō courses all over Europe and is one of the technical directors in France. He also holds Dan exams for the Free German Aikido Association (FDAV).
