Tosin Cole
Tosin Cole (born July 23, 1992 ) is a British actor of Nigerian origin. He was best known as Neil Cooper in Hollyoaks and as Ryan Sinclair in Doctor Who .
life and career
When Cole was eight years old, his father and uncle moved from New York City to London after his parents separated . He attended Abbey Wood School in the Royal Borough of Greenwich , London, and after school theater youth groups. He didn't graduate from high school when he got a role on EastEnders: E20 , a spin-off from EastEnders , in 2010 . To play the role as Sol Levi, he had to learn to dance and perform with a professional dance group in the season two finale. He returned for the third season.
In 2011 he played a supporting role in the soap opera Hollyoaks and also appeared in the spin-off Hollyoaks Later in 2012 . In 2013 he made his film debut in Gone Too Far! and second coming . The films Star Wars: The Force Awakens , Burning Sands and Unlocked followed in 2015 .
Since 2018 he has played Ryan Sinclair in Doctor Who , one of three Companions of the Thirteenth Doctor . With this role he was nominated for a Saturn Award and a Screen Nation Award in 2019 .
