Tovia Singer (born September 20, 1960 ) is a rabbi who founded and leads the organization Outreach Judaism . In Indonesia , the Outreach Judaism program is run by a local Jewish foundation, the Eits Chaim Indonesia Foundation, which sees itself as an advocate for the Jewish faith, the Jewish people and the State of Israel in Indonesia.

Outreach Judaism

Outreach Judaism is a Jewish organization that is directed against the Jewish mission . She describes herself as "an international organization that responds directly to the issues raised by missionaries and religious cults by exploring Judaism and revealing the differences to Christian fundamentalism (by exploring Judaism in contradistinction to fundamentalist Christianity)." Singer warns of communities that are "supposed to be Jewish but are in fact fundamentalist Christian churches that use Jewish symbols to lure the most vulnerable of our Jewish people into their ranks." Outreach Judaism was exemplified in 2002 by J. Gordon Melton as an example of "Describes the current state of Jewish counter-cult activities".

Other activities

Between 2002 and 2010 Singer hosted The Tovia Singer Show on Arutz Scheva National Radio Israel. The show resumed in 2013. There were many interesting guests and Rabbi Tovia Singer interviewed Israeli and US politicians, rabbis, victims of terrorism, writers and many others. Guests included the 47th Texas Governor Rick Perry , cabaret artist Jackie Mason , UN Ambassador John R. Bolton , Ronald Lauder , Michael Oren , Alan Keyes , Danny Danon , Jeane Kirkpatrick and others. Singer was one of the first to interview Walid Shoebat . In 2006, he interviewed Wafa Sultan on the show.

Singer is the author of the book and audio series Let's Get Biblical: Why Doesn't Judaism Accept the Christian Messiah? The new, expanded book edition in two volumes contains a detailed critique of traditional Christian allegations against the Jewish faith. One review certifies Singer "to be a master of his field", his thorough research and his mastery of the biblical sources are very impressive.

Singer is known for his public debates, for example with the head of the organization " Jews for Jesus ", Jhan Moskowitz and Pastor Paul Humber. In 2014 he discussed with the Professor of New Testament Dr. Craig A. Evans at Houston Baptist University. He also appeared against Michael L. Brown on the Sid Roth program. He then made serious allegations against Brown and declined further debates with him.

In June 2014, he discovered tribes in West Papua, Indonesia that he believed had fled Peru a few hundred years earlier. Your ancestors are said to have escaped the Spanish Inquisition . These descendants of Jews have preserved some traditions, but mostly converted to Christianity. He was able to lead them back to Judaism. Since then Singer has been working in Indonesia, where Judaism is not officially recognized.

Together with the Eits Chaim Indonesia Foundation , whose founders are of Dutch origin, Singer founded the only state-recognized Jewish center - Torat Chaim . It is supported by the Christian Department of the Indonesian Religious Affairs Office.
