Jackie Mason
Jackie Mason (born June 9, 1928 as Jacob Moshe Maza in Sheboygan , Wisconsin , † July 24, 2021 in New York ) was an American actor , stand-up comedian , voice actor and rabbi .
Life
Jackie Mason was born Jacob Moshe Maza in Sheboygan in 1928 and grew up in Lower East Side , Manhattan . He graduated from the City College of New York with a Bachelor of Arts . At the age of 25 he became a rabbi in Latrobe , Pennsylvania , along with his three brothers, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Three years later, Mason decided to become a comedian. He has an illegitimate daughter, Sheba Mason, who was born in 1985. She also works as a comedian. Jackie Mason married the film producer Jyll Rosenfeld on August 14, 1991 . He died in July 2021 after a brief hospital stay at the age of 93.
Career
Mason made his acting debut in 1972 in the film The Stoolie , in which he starred. The following year he dubbed the robot for the film The Sleeper , but is not mentioned in the credits. This was followed by an appearance on the television series Favorite Stewardesses , in which Jackie Mason played a rabbi. In Wealth Is No Shame he can be seen alongside Steve Martin , with Carl Reiner also playing a role in addition to directing. As a Jew, he got a role in Mel Brooks - The Crazy History of the World . In the comedy film Caddyshack II he got the lead role of Jack Hartounian alongside Robert Stack . In 1989 Jackie Mason played the role of Jackie Fisher in all twelve episodes of the comedy series Chicken Soup . From 1991 to 2014 he spoke the voice of Rabbi Hyman Krustofski in The Simpsons , the father of Krusty the Clown .
In 2005, Jackie Mason was voted 63rd among the 100 greatest stand-up comedians.

1991 Mason was of African American organizations such as the NAACP attacked because he New York Mayor David Dinkins "rigged an elegant / shvartzen with mustache" had called. The term shvartze is a derogatory Yiddish term for black people. He later apologized for it. Mason called Barack Obama a "shvartzen" in March 2009. Mason did not apologize for this statement and criticized Obama, whom he believed to be a liar and a traitor who should be in a closed institution. Mason urged Israeli politicians to think about evicting Palestinians from Gaza , East Jerusalem and the West Bank . The expatriation and expulsion of Israeli citizens of Arab origin should also be considered. In January 2001 Mason was one of the founders of the One Jerusalem organization , which opposes the return of East Jerusalem to the Palestinians after a possible peace treaty with Israel. In 2006 Mason filed a lawsuit against the organization Jews for Jesus , which had called him a supporter against his will.
