The Towle Glacier is a glacier in the Convoy Range in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows in a northeasterly direction between the mountain ridges Eastwind Ridge and Elkhorn Ridge to the Fry Glacier .
The New Zealand northern group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) mapped it in 1957 and named it after the USNS Private John R. Towle , a cargo ship of the US associations in McMurdo Sound , which in December 1956 made a large part of the supplies of the northern group transported.
