The Toyota Field is a football stadium in San Antonio , Texas .
Completed in 2013, the venue is home to the San Antonio Scorpions , who play in the North American Soccer League . Since then, the stadium has a capacity of 8,296 for football matches and 13,000 for concerts and other events.
The stadium is to be expanded to 18,000 seats in three phases, the first of which has been completed. The automobile company Toyota currently has the naming rights to the venue.

Toyota Field is located near Heroes Stadium, an American football stadium that belongs to the North East Independent School District. The stadium itself is adjacent to the STAR Soccer Complex and Morgan's Wonderland theme park. These two facilities are also part of the non-profit Sports Outdoor and Recreation Organization.

Edification
Gordon Hartman, founder of Sports Outdoor and Recreation Inc. , launched the Soccer For A Cause Initiative . With this, football should find its way into San Antonio and provide economic added value. In addition, with the establishment of the San Antonio Scorpions in 2010, which is also owned by the Hartmann family, another source of finance should be created for the amusement park Morgan's Wonderland . So Hartmann came up with the plan to build a football stadium. Construction began in February 2012.

On April 13, 2013, the Toyota Field opened with the San Antonio Scorpions against Tampa Bay Rowdies . The NASL league game ended 2-0 for the guests from Florida.
capacity
The stadium has a total capacity of 8,296 spectators. 13,000 spectators are possible for concerts and other events where the interior can be used. There are 16 boxes in the 8,296 seats. There is also a beer garden with 200 seats, a grandstand for wheelchair users, a raised terrace with a view over the stadium for 100 spectators and a special fan zone. A total of 9,000 spectators can watch a game.
