The Trachy ( Greek Τραχύ , n. Sg.) Is a mountain in the Peloponnese on the border between Argolis and Arcadia . In the north, near the village of Kandila , a pass separates the mountain from the Oligyrtos , to the east extends the Levidi plateau (Greek οροπέδιο του Λεβιδίου, plain of Kandila) and in the south the mountain merges into the Lyrkio . The mountain thus belongs to the mountain range that extends from the Gulf of Corinth to the Argolic Gulf . The highest peak is called Karoubalo (Καρούμπαλο, 1808 m.). From there a spur extends west to Orchomenos and Palaiopyrgos. There Psili Stefani (Ψιλή Στεφάνι, 1295 m) and Kouvelaki (Κουβελάκι, 1059 m) rise above the place. Other peaks are called Skiathis (Σκίαθις, 1778 m), Armenia (Αρμενιά, 1769 m) and Latsona (Λατσώνα, 1751 m). The most important brooks that arise on the mountain are the Pikernaiko Rhema (Πικερναίικο ρ.) In the south and tributaries of the Asopos in the north.
