Traian Ungureanu (born March 1, 1958 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian politician of the Partidul Național Liberal (previously Partidul Democrat-Liberal ) and journalist .
Life
Ungureanu studied Romanian and English at the Faculty of Linguistics and Literature at the University of Bucharest . After graduating in 1983, he worked as a journalist until 1988. From 1989 to 2003 Ungureanu worked for the BBC World Service . Since 2003 he has been working as a freelance journalist. Ungureanu has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009 .
