Treff - The Knowledge Magazine for Schoolchildren was a German-language, monthly magazine aimed at 9-14 year old girls and boys. During its publication period from 1974 to 2013, the magazine went through several publishing and concept changes. Most recently she appeared on Family Media .
According to the publisher, the monthly circulation was 50,000 copies, the object has not been part of the IVW inspection since the beginning of 2005 .
history
Founded meeting with the then subtitles The student magazine in 1974 as a pure subscription magazine in Velber publishing . In October 1986 the former Austrian magazine Wunderwelt was discontinued as an independent journal. An Austrian edition of the German Treff youth magazine was then distributed under the title Treff-Wunderwelt .
The illustrated Swiss school newspaper “Der Kinderfreund” , founded in 1885, also went to Velber Verlag and was sold at the end of the 20th century under the name of the Treff-Schülerzeitung as the Swiss edition of the Treff-pupil magazine . Besides the cover, two other pages were country-specific.
In 1999 the OZ Verlag of the Oberrheinische Zeitung bought the Velber Verlag and the magazine. In 2004, the family and children's magazines were bundled in Family Media with the participation of Springer Verlag , which withdrew from the project in 2009. The last independent issue of the Treff appeared in September 2011 , for the remaining months of 2013 it was published as the Treff Stafette in Sailer Verlag , Nuremberg, before it was discontinued in favor of the Stafette of the Sailer Verlag.
