The Tremser Teich is a pond in the west of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck in Schleswig-Holstein .

In the north it marks the border with the town of Bad Schwartau in the Ostholstein district . Originally there was Trems, which gave it its name, around the pond. The Tremser ironworks was located here . Its products were awarded the first advanced training medal at the Vienna World Exhibition , the silver medal at the agricultural exhibition in Bremen and the gold medal at the dairy exhibition in Amsterdam. This brought the work world fame. The pond is irregularly shaped with a length of about 500 m and a width of about 250 m. It has a size of around 13  hectares and drains in the northeast via the Mühlenbach into the backwater of the Trave, which runs around 400 m away (on the Teerhof Island ) . The Tremser pond has a far-reaching northward spur that the course of the jammed Clever Au follows, where the A 1 is bridged.

The Tremser pond is fed by the water brought in via the Fackenburger Landgraben and the Clever Au.

The Tremser pond was created at the beginning of the 14th century as a mill and fish pond and included in the defense system of the Lübeck Landgraben ( Landwehr to secure the Lübeck border) consisting of ditches and ramparts . The Tremser pond was on 14 April 2000 as part of the conservation area, provided "Fackenburger Landgraben and Tremser pond" under protection.
