Anders Trentemøller (born October 16, 1974 in Vordingborg , Denmark ) is a Danish musician and producer who mainly releases on his own label "In My Room".

life and work

Trentemøller moved to Copenhagen in the early 1990s to start a rock band. In 2003, Trentemøller appeared for the first time with a publication with the self-titled Trentemøller EP . For the piece Le Champagne contained on it , he received the award "Upfront Release Of The Year" at the Danish DJ Awards 2004.

In 2005 he received the “Producer Of The Year” award in Denmark and was voted the best newcomer of 2005 by readers of Groove magazine . In the same poll, his piece Polar Shift was voted one of the best pieces of the year and his remix for Yoshimoto's Du What U Du was voted one of the best remixes of the year. His Yoshimoto remix was one of the great club hits of 2005 and was subsequently licensed and reissued by several record labels.

At the end of 2005, Trentemøller delivered the remix of Röyksopp 's What Else Is There? another club hit that was listed in countless DJ charts shortly after its release . After further remix orders, Trentemøller was finally allowed to edit the piece Sodom by the Pet Shop Boys .

Since 2005 Trentemøller has released Poker Flat Recordings on Steve Bug's label Poker . Since 2007 he has been performing alongside his DJ sets with the support of a live band, such as at the Roskilde Festival 2009 and as a support act for Depeche Mode .

On May 28, 2010 the album Into the Great Wide Yonder was released , which reached number 37 in the German album charts . In 2013 the third studio album, Lost , was released, which hit the German, Austrian and Swiss album charts. The album Fixion was released in 2016. The one-hour YouTube film, The Science of Fixion , followed a year later and documents the creation process of the album.

Trentemøller wrote the electronic theme music for the television series Halt and Catch Fire (four seasons, 2014 to 2017). Here he created a connection between electronic sound ideas from pop music from the 1980s and electronic styles from the 2010s.
