Trevor Forrest

Trevor Forrest (born November 6, 1971 in Manchester ) is a British cameraman . He became known through his work on films such as Grabbers , Una Noche - One Night in Havana , Noble and Exposed .

life and career

Trevor Stuart Forrest's parents moved from Manchester to the Caribbean island of Grand Bahama , one of the northernmost islands of the Bahamas . Trevor spent his youth there until the beginning of his teenage years. Every two years, around Trevor's birthday in November, the parents would visit home in England, especially the cities of Manchester and Norfolk. Forrest eventually got into the business of photography through art school. In 2003, Forrest gained its first experience on a 35mm basis for a series of commercials for Indian telecommunications and tourism. In the same year he got into the film business by working on the short film Please .

In 2006 Trevor Forrest made his feature film debut as a cameraman under the director Col Spector for his comedy Someone Else . In 2007 he worked for Kaizad Gustad's thriller Bombil and Beatrice . In 2009 he met the director Jon Wright for whom he photographed the horror film Tormented , and in 2012 Wright and Forrest worked together on the horror comedy Grabbers . In the same year, the producer and director Lucy Mulloy hired him for her award-winning drama Una Noche - One Night in Havana . In 2014 he photographed the pictures for Stephen Bradley's drama Noble . Director Gee Malik Linton drew on Forrest's talents for his 2016 film Exposed starring Ana de Armas , Keanu Reeves and Christopher McDonald .

Trevor Forrest and his colleague Shlomo Godder won the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Award in the Best Cinematography category for the feature film Una Noche - One Night in Havana . In addition to his work for the cinema, Forrest occasionally also works for television, such as the short television documentary Made in China by director Jo Jordan from 2005, the television series Bookaboo 2008 or the television comedy Dr. Brown in 2014.
