Tri Bourne (born June 20, 1989 in Kailua , Hawaii ) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player .
Career indoor volleyball
Tri Bourne began playing indoor volleyball at the Outrigger Canoe Club in 2001 and played for Maryknoll High School in Honolulu in 2007 . From 2008 to 2011, the external attacker, who was also used as a Libero, was active in California for the USC Trojans . With the US national junior team, Bourne won the bronze medal at the U21 NORCECA continental championships in El Salvador in 2008 and finished eighth at the U21 world championships in Pune, India in 2009 .
Career beach volleyball
In 2007 Tri Bourne was in Honolulu together with Riley MyKibbon in beach volleyball U20 champions of the national "Amateur Athletic Union" (AAU). Bourne has been playing on the AVP tour with various partners since 2012 . In 2013 he was named “Most Improved Player” and “Newcomer of the Year”. Since the end of 2013 Bourne has also played internationally alongside John Hyden , with whom he won the Grand Slam Berlin in 2014 . By the end of 2016, Hyden / Bourne had numerous top ten results on the World Tour. They reached third place at the season finale in Toronto . Then Bourne had to interrupt his career because of chronic muscle inflammation ( dermatomyositis ).

Tri Bourne has three older siblings. His parents Katy and Peter are both triathletes .
