Trichodiadema is a genus of plants fromthe afternoon flower family (Aizoaceae). The genus name indicates the hairs formed on the ends of the leaves.

description

They are small dwarf shrubs with succulent , rounded leaves that bloom at the end of the shoots. The flower color can be white, yellow or red. The plants have thickened roots.

Systematics and distribution

The genus was first described in 1926 by Gustav Schwantes in the "Zeitschrift für Sukkulentenkunde".

The 30 or so species occur in South Africa and Namibia .
