description

Trifolium barbeyi is an annual , herbaceous , clumpy dwarf plant that reaches heights of 1 to 8 centimeters. The leaflets are oblong, obovate, wedge-shaped and blunt. The stipules are linear. The heads are clustered and consist of a maximum of 20 to 25 flowers . The calyx is twenty-veined. The calyx teeth are densely hairy, sub-like and shorter than the tube. The crown is pink in color and twice as long as the chalice.

The flowering time is in June.

Trifolium barbeyi is endemic to the island of Karpathos . The species grows in open locations.
