Trilogy is a singing group from Malta .

history

The trio was founded in 2006 by Eleanor Spiteri, Roger Tirazona and Cliff Zammit. In the same year, the group first took part in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, the Maltese preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , where they reached third place with the song This Heart of Mine . Also in 2006 the two members Eleanor and Roger won the Discovery Pop Music Contest in Bulgaria . In 2007 Cliff Zammit got out and Daniel Debono joined the band. In the same year the band participated again in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, where they took second place with the successful song Starlight , and in 2009 they took part again with the single The Song in Your Heart . Shortly thereafter, Daniel Debono left the band and Ludwig Galea joined the band in 2014. In 2014 they reapplied to the Maltese preliminary round and reached the semi-finals with the song Chasing a Dream , which took place on November 21, 2014 in Valletta . They reached the finals and finished tenth there. Today all three members of the group are also active in Maltese theaters.

Ludwig Galea

Ludwig Galea, the tenor of the trio, studied music at Trinity College , and he also took singing lessons from Maestro Di Cappella at St. John's Cathedral. Galea represented Malta with the song On again Off again in 2004 at the Eurovision Song Contest , where he reached twelfth place. Today Ludwig Galea teaches drama in addition to singing.

Eleanor Spiteri

Eleanor Spiteri, the group's soprano, took singing lessons from Gillian Zammit at the Masquerade Theater Arts School in Malta. In 2008 she sang the US national anthem at the San Francisco Giants Stadium . In addition to her singing career, Spiteri works as a nurse in a hospital .

Roger Tirazona

Roger Tirazona, the band's baritone, went to the Johann Strauss School of Music. He won the Best Artist Award at the New Asian Singer Contest 2010 in Beijing , People's Republic of China . In 2010 he won the Artist Award at Canzoni Dal Mondo in Naples . In addition to appearing in theaters, Tirazone also teaches philosophy and ethics in schools.
