Trockenborn is a district of the municipality of Trockenborn-Wolfersdorf in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia .

The district of Trockenborn is located northwest of Neustadt an der Orla , east of Kahla and southwest of Stadtroda on state road 1111. This road leads from Wolfersdorf steadily uphill to the street village of Trockenborn. The district is located on the heights of the forest around the former zoo of the owners of Hummelshain .
history
In 1457 the village was first mentioned in a document.
In 1717 the Marienkirche Trockenborn was built.
Forest and agricultural work shaped the place. Tourism and those looking for relaxation were added later. From 1952, the farmers also had to take the path of collectivizing their farms. After the reunification they found new forms of farm labor.
