The Marienkirche Trockenborn is located in Trockenborn , a district of the municipality Trockenborn-Wolfersdorf in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . It belongs to the regional parish Tälerdörfer in the Eisenberg parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The church is located on the "castle" above the oldest house in the village.

history

In 1717 the Marienkirche was built instead of a half-timbered building. A Saxon diamond coat of arms and the electoral coat of arms are carved into the church tower entrance on the west side of the church; The year of construction 1717 is above the west entrance. There is a third entrance that bears the year 1825.

The inside of the church

The nave has three-sided galleries . They were redesigned in 1888. The organ is in the ship. The choir windows are glazed in color and show the blessing Christ and Peter with the key and Paul with the sword. It is a present from Duke Ernst I. These figures appear again, carved from wood, on the pulpit . The altarpiece Jesus with the Samaritan woman from Bremen .

Organ and bells

The organ is pneumatic and was built in 1909 by Oskar Ladegast from Weißenfels in place of the old organ, which had become unusable . The parish has three bells , two from 1919 and one from 1947 and the big one from 1871.
