Trygve Schjøtt (born August 5, 1882 in Bergen , † December 18, 1960 in Kvinnherad ) was a Norwegian sailor .

Trygve Schjøtt, a member of the Bergen Seilforening was in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 10-meter class after the International Rule of 1919 Olympic champion . He was a crew member of the Mosk II , which participated as the only boat in its class. The Mosk II , whose crew also consisted of Otto Falkenberg , Arne Sejersted , Robert Giertsen , Willy Gilbert and his cousin Halfdan Schjøtt as well as skipper Charles Arentz , achieved the goal of winning the gold medal in two races due to lack of competition.

Schjøtt graduated from the Navigator School and was an officer in the Norwegian merchant fleet during the Second World War . After the war he married an English woman and moved with her to Wallasey .
