Tryon International Equestrian Center

The Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) is an equestrian facility in Tryon , Polk County , North Carolina . Competitions in all FEI disciplines, dressage , show jumping , eventing , reining , endurance riding , vaulting and carriage driving , as well as polo tournaments , hunts and hunting races can be held there. Shops, restaurants and accommodation are available.

The TIEC was opened in June 2014. It cost around $ 100 million to build. It is located near the village of Mill Spring and covers around 500 hectares, 10 riding arenas , one of which has a stadium with 6000 seats. There are permanent stables for 1000 horses and a riding arena complex . International competitions are organized in cooperation with the Tryon Riding and Hunt Club . The 2018 World Equestrian Games were held here.
