IC 2700 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Antlia in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 1.1 billion light years away from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2683 , IC 2698 , IC 2713 , IC 2718 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 27, 1906 .
