IC 2712 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 410 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies IC 2676 , IC 2680 , IC 2702 , IC 2707 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 27, 1906 .
