IC 2727 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E0 in Leo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 516 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter . 
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 2718 , IC 2719 , IC 2720 , IC 2723 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 27, 1906 .
