Tsiang Un-kai

Tsiang Un-kai蒋 恩 铠 (born September 11, 1904 in Jiangsu , † 1995 ) was a Taiwanese diplomat .

Career

From 1935 to 1937 he was employed as head of the Republic of China Foreign Ministry (1912–1949) in Nanjing . From 1937 he was Vice Consul in Paris, Consul in Lyon , Consul General in Paris , Counselor at the Embassy in Athens , Chargé d'Affaires in Saigon and from 1955 to 1957 he was at the Consul General in Tanaarive . He headed the passport department in Chongqing from 1944 to 1946. With independence from Madagascar, the consulate general was upgraded to an embassy and Tsiang Un-kai was accredited as ambassador from 1960 to 1963. From 1963 to 1965 he headed the West Asia Department at the Foreign Ministry in Taipei . He was ambassador first to Cameroon from 1965 to 1969 and from January 1970 to April 1972 he was ambassador to Dakar . His term of office corresponds to the second of three Senegalese Taiwanese diplomatic relationship periods so far.

Private

He married Li, Fen and they had a son. On 8 November 1932, he was at the University of Paris with the work Ch'iu K'ouen, le chinois ancien theater Doctor of Arts ( doctorat ès lettres ) PhD .
