The TuS Uentrop (officially: Turn- und Spielverein 46/68 Uentrop eV ) is a sports club from the Hammer district of Uentrop . The women's table tennis team plays in the 2nd Bundesliga .

history

The association was first founded on September 3, 1946. However, this club was dissolved in 1960 due to a lack of sports facilities and managers. Today's association was founded on January 25, 1968. In addition to table tennis, TuS Uentrop also offers football , running clubs and popular sports.

Table tennis

The women's team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North in 2007, but had to relegate after only one year as the penultimate. In 2009 they were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North, where the team became champions in 2012. However, the promotion to the Bundesliga was waived. Even after the second championship in 2016, the club waived promotion to the Bundesliga.

Soccer

Apart from the years 1993 to 1995, in which they played in the district league, the footballers of TuS Uentrop played at district level. In 1999, 2000, 2015 and 2018, the Uentropians were runner-up behind SC Eintracht Hamm , SC Westtünnen , SV Eintracht Heessen and IG Bönen .
