Tudor Gavril Dunca

Tudor Gavril Dunca (born October 20, 1951 in Sighetu Marmației ) is a Romanian politician of the PNȚCD , the former ambassador of Romania to Germany , former party chairman of the PNȚCD of the Maramureş district and electrical engineer .

Life

Dunca studied electrical engineering at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest from 1970 to 1975 .

In 1992 and 1996 he was elected to the lower house of the Romanian parliament for four years for Partidul Național Țărănesc Creştin Democrat (PNȚCD) on the list of the Conven insia Democrată Română . In 1995, Dunca was appointed chairman of the PNȚCD of Maramureș County. However, Dunca gave up his mandate on September 2, 1997, because Emil Constantinescu appointed him as Romanian ambassador to Germany during the term of office of the then Federal Presidents Roman Herzog and Johannes Rau . Dunca resigned and his seat in parliament was replaced by Vasile Berci . He also resigned from the party leadership. Tudor Dunca was Romania's ambassador to Germany for a total of more than three years, from August 26, 1997 to December 5, 2000.

After completing his post as an ambassador, he settled in the United States , in San José , and worked as an electrical engineer for a large company in Silicon Valley .

He speaks German, English, French and Romanian.
