List of the Romanian ambassadors in Germany
The Ambassador of Romania leads the Romanian Embassy in Germany . It was based in Berlin until 1944, and as a result of the division of Germany there were two diplomatic representatives until 1990. The ambassador active in the GDR worked in East Berlin . The ambassador accredited for the FRG was based in Bonn .

Envoy in the German Empire
In 1880 the Principality of Romania was recognized as a sovereign state by the major European powers Germany, France and Great Britain. Until 1944 the Romanian legation was located at Rauchstrasse 26 in Berlin, today the seat of the Chamber of Auditors .

Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany
The first Romanian embassy in the Federal Republic was located in the Bayenthal district of Cologne (Oberländer Ufer 68) from 1967 , and then from 1984 to 2000 in the Castell district of Bonn (Legionsweg 14). The Romanian Embassy has been back in Berlin since 2000 , today at Dorotheenstrasse 62–66.
