TuneIn is an online service and a mobile app for Android , Apple iOS , Blackberry , Microsoft Windows Phone , Fire OS and Samsung that enables streaming of radio stations and internet radio . The current CEO is John Donham.

history

The company of the same name is based in San Francisco , California. It was founded by Bill Moore under the name RadioTime in 2002 in Dallas . In May 2014, TuneIn stated that its service had over 50 million active users.

Functions

The TuneIn website and the free apps allow users to listen to over 100,000 radio stations. In addition, there are over four million podcasts that can be streamed via TuneIn. The TuneIn directory contains an extensive list of sports, news and music channels from around the world.

TuneIn is also available from the factory in vehicles (e.g. in models from Volvo , Mercedes-Benz , BMW , Ford , General Motors and Tesla Motors ) and in AV receivers (e.g. Pioneer , Teufel ).

The website is currently available in 22 different languages.
