Tuomas Kyrö (born June 4, 1974 in Helsinki , Finland ) is a Finnish writer and comic artist .

Life

For Kyrö's works, which include novels, columns, plays as well as comics and caricatures , he has received various Finnish literary prizes, including the 2011 Sports Book Prize. The 2010 book Mielensäpahoittaja (German: The man who excites himself about things ) he wrote on the basis of a series of stories that he had written as radio plays for Yleisradio , the Finnish radio.

Kyrö was in the years 2005 to 2009, the first Artist in Residence in Autorenhaus Eeva Joenpelto , the former residence of the writer lived.

Since 2012, Kyrö has been a regular participant in a talk show on the private Finnish television station Nelonen entitled Hyvät ja huonot uutiset . By 2014 he had participated 62 times in the round.

Kyrö lives with his family in Janakkala in southern Finland.
