Fall basin
The Turčianska kotlina (German: Turzbecken ) is located in the northern part of central Slovakia within the Fatra - Tatra region in the Inner Western Carpathians .
The basin is bounded by the Great Fatra Mountains in the east and Little Fatra in the west and north, and the Žiar and Kremnick Mountains in the south. The Turiec flows through the entire catchment area and tributaries in Waag in Vrútky . The biggest cities are Martin , Vrútky and Turčianske Teplice .
