Turgay Gölbaşı (born January 6, 1983 in Herford ) is a German - Turkish football player .

Career

He started his career at FSC Lohfelden and then moved to KSV Baunatal and KSV Hessen Kassel , where he was one of the key performers. After the 2006/07 season he had some offers from higher-class clubs, including a. the SC Paderborn 07 and decided to switch to Turkish professional football. From July 1, 2007 he was under contract with Caykur Rizespor , where he ended up on the bench after two coach changes and only one use in the Süper Lig . For the second half of the 2007/08 season he therefore returned to KSV Hessen on loan for six months before moving to the Turkish bank Asya 1. Lig to Samsunspor .

At Samsunspor, he quickly rose to team captaincy and reached the runner-up in the 1st Lig with his team at the end of the 2010/11 season and thus directly promoted to the Süper Lig . Vladimir Petković was introduced as the new coach for the upcoming season . After the pre-season camp, he sorted out some players with whom he did not plan. Gölbaşı was one of these eliminated players.

Shortly before the start of the season, Samsunspor took defender Saffet Gurur Yazar from second division club Karşıyaka SK and gave Gölbaşı to Karşıyaka in return . There he only played the first half of the season and moved to the second half of the league to Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor .

For the 2012/13 season Gölbaşı moved to his former and in the meantime again second-rate club Samsunspor.

In the summer of 2014 he moved to third division club Kocaeli Birlikspor
