Tyler Botha (born December 3, 1980 in Cape Town ) is a former South African skeleton athlete and still an active Cresta driver.

Tyler Botha lives in Cape Town. He started skeleton in 2003, has participated in international races since 2004 and was trained by Simon Schwemmer. After not taking part in the FIBT Skeleton School in 2003 as planned , he took part in it in 2004. This was followed by his first use in November 2004 in Igls in the European Skeleton Cup , where he was 25th. Further appearances in the European Cup and the Skeleton Challenge Cup followed . In the European Cup, a 13th place in Koenigssee was the best result in December 2005 , in the Challenge Cup he was twice second in the same place a month later, first behind David Connolly , in the second race behind Nicola Nimac . The high point and the end of his career were the Olympic Winter Games in Turin , in which Botha finished 12th.

In addition, Botha, who is also a member of the St Moritz Tobogganing Club in St. Moritz , was also active as a Cresta driver. With a time of 41.09 seconds, he is the second fastest driver in history from the lower starting point Junction and in 50.64 seconds the fifth fastest driver from the normal start. In the 2010/11 season he won six races, including the Curzon Cup and the Morgan Cup. Botha works as a DJ.
