Tyler Seitz

Tyler Seitz (born August 13, 1976 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a former Canadian luge rider .

Tyler Seitz of the Maple Leaf Luge Club has been tobogganing since 1988 and has been a member of the national team since 1995. At the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s, he was one of the extended world leaders in single-seater luge. The first major event was the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , where he was 18th. Seitz reached 13th place at the 1999 World Luge Championships in Königssee . In 2000 he was ninth with the Canadian team, in 2001 again 14th in the individual and seventh with the team. Seitz 'career highlight was participation in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , where he finished 19th. His best season in the Luge World Cup was in 2002/03 . In Calgary he achieved his best placement in a World Cup race when he finished third.
