Construction variant type XA with two board cranes on the foredeck between hold one and two and heavy lift gear between hold three and four. In addition, two cargo booms were available as crockery for the hold and three and four cargo booms for the hold. The two holds on the aft ship were served by two board cranes each. On November 7, 1962 from Rostock on the maiden voyage . After reconstruction in VEB Mathias Thesen Werft, Wismar, back in service from September 16, 1974. The six worn 5-tonne cranes were replaced with conventional loading gear. The ship thus corresponded to the type XC construction variant . The foreign stevedore staff had problems operating the on-board cranes from GDR production. They could not be driven continuously. They were also very susceptible to repairs. In 1983 the ship was already on the decommissioning list. However, it was converted into a metal freighter from May to October 1984 in the Brodogradilište Victor Lenac shipyard in Rijeka. The double floor was reinforced, the loading gear removed and new hatch covers installed . With this conversion solution, the shipping company decided not to order a new type of 411 metal transporter from the Rostock Neptun shipyard. Briefly used as a cement storage ship in July 1991. In July 1991 to Incom Ltd., London, from July 27, 1991 Edgar and on September 6, 1991 from Rostock via London for demolition from December 5, 1991 in Gadani Beach |
