Typh Barrow
Typh Barrow (born May 10, 1987 in Brussels as Tiffany Baworowski, stage name Typhène, short Typh, Barrow) is a Belgian singer, songwriter and pianist. Their music mixes pop and soul with elements from jazz and blues . She is compared to Adele and Amy Winehouse .
biography
Typh Barrow started playing the piano when he was five. She took music lessons at eight and wrote her first song at twelve. She took singing lessons from the age of fourteen. She performed in clubs, where she met her future manager François Leboutte.
At the end of 2012 her first single Your Turn was released , which was one of the most played singles on Belgian radio stations in 2013. When her first EP was due for release, her voice failed during a performance due to a cyst on her vocal cords and she was taken off for several months.
2013 TYPH Barrow began with resounding success, cover versions on YouTube to publish, where she accompanied herself on the piano. A double EP was released in 2014: Time with her own songs that she had recorded in Paris , London and New York , and Visions with cover versions.
As a result of the great success of the EPs, she had numerous appearances on Belgian television and throughout Europe, including at well-known festivals. In 2017 and 2018 she was nominated as “Artist of the Year” in the Belgian television program “D6bels (Dezibels) on Stage”. In 2018 she became a juror for the TV show "The Voice Belgique".
Typh Barrow's first album RAW was released on January 18, 2018, with exclusively her own songs, some of which she had recorded in London's Abbey Road Studios . The album immediately rose to number one on the Belgian music charts .
