In his youth, Woyciechowski was a school colleague of Chopin at the Warsaw Lyceum and a frequent guest of the Chopin family. Like Chopin, he had piano lessons from Vojtěch Živný . Tytus then studied law at the University of Warsaw . Chopin kindly dedicated one of his early works to him, the two variations on Mozart's duet Là ci darem la mano . In 1830 Chopin visited Woyciechowski on his property in Poturzyn , which he had inherited from his mother. Woyciechowski also acted as a confidante during Chopin's love affair with the singer Konstancja Gładkowska.

Woyciechowski accompanied Chopin on his trip to Austria in 1830 until he learned of the November Uprising and returned to Warsaw to take part in the fighting. While Chopin and Woyciechowski never met each other personally after 1830, they continued their friendly correspondence.

From then on, Woyciechowski primarily devoted himself to agriculture. He is considered one of the pioneers in the introduction of crop rotation or field management in Poland. In 1847 he founded one of the country's first sugar factories. From 1861 to 1862 he was an active member of the White Party , which was involved in the failed uprising of January 1863 .

Woyciechowski died at the age of 70 on his country estate. His collection of memorabilia to Chopin was destroyed by fire in 1914, and the Poturzyn family mansion was destroyed during the Second World War.
