The Jägerstraße station is an underground station on the Vienna U6 underground line in the 20th district of Brigittenau . It is located directly under Leipziger Strasse and extends between Leipziger Platz in the west and Jägerstrasse in the east. It is named after the Jägerstrasse, named in 1858, after the shelter for the Brigittakapelle built in 1645 .

The station is part of the northern extension of the U6 to Floridsdorf and was opened on May 4, 1996. It was built according to the plans of the U-Bahn architects (Holzbauer, Marschalek, Ladstätter, Gantar), who were already responsible for the design of the other underground lines that have opened in Vienna since 1978. The station has a central platform, from both ends of which escalators lead to two reception buildings, which were placed in a traffic-calmed , park-like zone. There are elevators at both exits, making barrier-free access possible.

It is possible to change to tram lines 31 in the direction of Stammersdorf or Schottenring and 33 in the direction of Friedrich-Engels-Platz as well as to the bus line 5B in the direction of Heiligenstadt or Praterstern . The Technological Trade Museum is located nearby .
