The Rochusgasse station on the U3 underground line in Vienna's 3rd district, Landstrasse , opened on April 6, 1991. It has a central platform and extends two floors below Hainburger Straße between Salmgasse and Hintzerstraße parallel to Landstraßer Hauptstraße . It is named after the patron saint of the nearby Rochus Church .

Exits lead into town by escalators, lifts and fixed stairs to Rochusmarkt ( Rochusmarkt exit), which forms the center of the Landstraßer Hauptstraße shopping street, and out of town by escalators, lifts and fixed stairs to Rochuspark (Hainburger Straße exit), which runs together with the U -Bahn station was laid out in the early 1990s. A passage leads to Landstraßer Hauptstraße. It is possible to change to bus lines 4A and 74A. The Galleria shopping center is located in the immediate vicinity of the station.

Design

Stone artefacts from the Roman Vindobona have been decoratively attached along the platforms . There are three architraves , a stone pine cone and two capitals that were excavated during the construction of the underground near Kärntner Strasse ; the pine cone had already been found in 1896. The parts belonged together and formed a tomb or a small temple shrine.
