The Metro Station Loria is a station of line A of Buenos Aires Underground and is part of the section Plaza Miserere - Rio de Janeiro , which was opened on 1 Abril 1914 as an extension. The metro station is located below Avenida Rivadavia between Calle Billinghurst / Calle Virrey Liniers and Calle Sánchez de Bustamante / Calle Sánchez de Loria. The street or subway station is named after Mariano Sánchez de Loria , a priest who represented the colonial province of Charcas in the Congress of Tucumán and was a signatory of the Declaration of Independence. Like the other stations on the route, this one received two side platforms. A gray was chosen as the color code for the station furniture, the pillars and moldings.
