Castro Barros Metro Station

The underground station Castro Barros is a station of line A of Buenos Aires Underground and part of the section Plaza Miserere - Rio de Janeiro , which opened on April 1, 1914 as the extension. The subway station is located below Avenida Rivadavia at the intersection with the two streets Avenida Medrano and Avenida Castro Barros. The street or the subway station is named after Pedro Ignacio de Castro Barros . Castro Barros represented the colonial province of La Rioja in the Congress of Tucumánand was also a signatory to the Declaration of Independence. Like the other stations on the route, this one received two side platforms. A dark green was chosen as the color code for the station furniture, the pillars and the decorative strips. The walls are tiled in white and beige.
