The U16 AfroBasket is the World Association FIBA and the continental association FIBA Africa discharged African Continental Championship for men under 16 in basketball . It has been held every two years since 2009 and is also the African qualifying tournament for the U-17 basketball world championship . The record holder of the title is Egypt , which has won two of the three previous events.
